Stemp Systems provides vital security functions, interoffice virtual private network (VPN) connectivity, and HIPAA compliant remote access through the use of key SonicWALL products including SonicWALL firewalls, email security devices and SRA (Secure Remote Access) virtual appliances. A firewall protects networks from unauthorized access while securely enabling legitimate communications. Use of this technology is key to our clients being able to provide effective customer/patient service.
SonicWALL is at the forefront of firewall technology which deals with protecting our clients’ networks from constant external security threats. In fact, The Gartner Group rates SonicWALL as one of the leaders in its Magic Quadrant analysis of the firewall marketplace for mid-size businesses. Keeping up with these SonicWALL technology updates involves ongoing research, training, and education. This was the goal of the recent SonicWALL Peak Performance Conference held in Palm Springs California on October 3 thru 5.
Stemp Systems invests heavily in education, enhancing our ability to support our clients. Stemp’s Chief Technology Officer, Aleem Quadri, and Chief Operating Officer, Ben Brukner, attended the SonicWALL Peak Performance Conference to learn about the latest essential SonicWALL products and solutions. “Peak Performance 2011 is a premier event of the networking security industry where SonicWALL gathers over 400 partners, customers, industry analysts and executives to exchange ideas, attend educational sessions and form new business relationships.” This conference enables participants to take advantage of feature breakouts and informational sessions on SonicWALL’s industry-leading tools and resources. As Morris Stemp, CEO of Stemp Systems says time and again, “Stemp believes in matching the most appropriate technology with our clients’ current and future requirements and budget. How can we claim to do that without educating ourselves in all the nuances of the latest technologies?”
Morris Stemp bought his first SonicWALL in 1994, a SOHO 1. SOHO, which means Small office – Home office, is a category of products designed to appeal to very small offices. These products are used to build a secure VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection to the company network so that the mobile staff can get their emails and have access to files which contain sensitive information. SonicWALL has grown to be the number one manufacturer of small business security devices. In addition to network security and remote access devices, SonicWALL products include anti-spam and email security, server backup and recovery, continuous data protection, and endpoint security.
Stemp Systems is a longtime SonicWALL Medallion Partner and almost all of our clients use SonicWALL products. SonicWALL firewalls are a critical product in that they serve as the gateway between the internet and our clients’ offices, and maintain all remote office and inter-office connectivity. Stemp’s investment in SonicWALL is illustrated by the fact that we have 10 Certified SonicWALL Systems Administrators (CSSA). This is the highest number of certified administrators in any one company in the tri-state area, demonstrating our commitment to continuing education and the maintenance of our skills in order to effectively support this critical network security device.
CSSA certification recognizes the networking professional who takes several classes designed to teach key security technology fundamentals along with specific SonicWALL design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting topics, and then takes and passes a rigorous certification exam. In addition to the learning about SonicWALL products and solutions, the benefits of CSSA certification include direct access to 2nd level technical support, access to SonicWALL’s Online Forum, support bulletins and advanced notifications, opportunities to participate in SonicWALL beta programs, and certification newsletters.
According to Morris, “Stemp has a highly detailed understanding of the configuration parameters to maximize the benefit as well as the protection that SonicWALL devices are designed to offer.” The participation of our two senior executives in this conference helps to maintain Stemp Systems’ position as a leader in the IT industry.
